Hey gang! Just a quick post. made this card yesterday at my sister's request for her daughter's friend. Birthday parties all the time everywhere it seems!! This cute image is from Lalaland Crafts. She's called Fancy Marci. Off to the city now to spend a few days with her and to deliver this card! I'm entering the following challenges: Scrapbook sisters (Mother's Day or Special Lady), the Paper Variety (1-2-3 make your Recipe) I used flowers, ribbon, gems; and Clear it Out (Flowers, Flowers). Have a great day!
Hey there! Just wanted to share a clean and simple sympathy card I made last week for a friend. Brought me back to the days where you just stamped a sentiment or an image, added a ribbon and voilà! Actually I had some other ones made with other images, but they weren't right. You forget how classy a simple card can look!
To make, I just ran a portion of the paper through the cuttlebug, using an embossing folder. The other bit of paper, I punched out with my MS doily border punch. I inked the sides, added stickles, ribbon, pearls and the cherry blossoms from WOC. Hope u like! xox Trisha
Hey gang! It's another sunny day here-let's hope the temperature warms up alot more to melt this icy slush/snow that won't go away!
There's another challenge over at Totally Tilda: Use cake, chocolat or other confections in your creation. I used this super cute Tilda from the Special Occasions collection and she fits the bill weel. My papers are from DCWV.
I'm entering the following challenges: Just Magnolia (Bingo-flowers,ribbon/lace,gems),Send a Smile 4 Kids (Birthday girl), Totally Gorjuss (Spring has Sprung), Sugar Creek Hollow (Stitching) and Craft Us Crazy (cupcakes/celebrations). Hope u like! xox Trisha:)
**PS.-To all bloggers who experienced the same problem as I did (pictures not showing up with post)-switch your browser to Google Chrome-it seems to be a problem with bloggers using internet Explorer as their main browser- Hope this helps u out too!!:)**
Hey all! Happy Saturday! I'm so relieved that Spring Break is here! So, after battling this sore throat and stuffed up nose, sore chest for two weeks I finally went to the doctor's on Friday afternoon and I have a bad sinusitis, and a touch of bronchitis. I spent $150.00 on an inhaler and antibiotics-no drinking wine for me this week, or spending money on card-making supplies-wah!! But, I wouldn't have gone if it weren't for the bleeding nose I got just before leaving to go to work. I had to cough out junk (sorry-very gross) and then when I blew my nose, it just unleashed a flood of blood! I freaked out-haven't had a bleeding nose in 12 years, since my first pregnancy with my son!! I freaked mostly because I got blood on my new favorite green shirt!!LOL So, that's what made me make the Dr's appointment-otherwise I would have toughed it out some more!! Sorry, if I've grossed you out!!
On a brighter note, DCD's Christmas Club's challenge is to incorporate christmas flowers in your creation! I used thes beautiful poinsettias from prima and my roses are from WOC.
I'm entering Just Magnolia's Bingo challenge. I chose: flowers, lace and ribbon, gems; WinterWonderland (Oh, Bauble) My Basic Grey paper has a bauble on it and Delicious Doodles (Loads of Flowers), Fussy and Fancy (use feathers/zipper) and If the Shoe Fits (Recipe: flowers, distress inks, clear bling).Hope u like! xox Trisha

This week's challenge at ABC Challenge is to incoroporate quiliting in your creation, be it real/faux stitching or your papers. We are sponsored by the Stamp Fairy this week, and the winner will win a $9.00 voucher for her images. This little cutie is called Lenny with flowers.
I also wanted to let you know that I am stepping down from the ABC design team, as I am involved in whirlwind of activities during and after school. I've got my courses twice a week in the city, kiddies' after school actitvities-it's basically mayhem and I just didn't want to be producing rubbish for them, when I have so little time. Sorry to dissappoint any of you.
Hey all! Thank God it's the week-end!! I so needed a day off! Hey all! What a crazy week so far! I've been working on report cards til midnight and 1 am for the past 5 days-finally done today after school today! PLUS, I was in the city on Monday for another inservice, back again Tuesday afternoon for family business and an all day ressource mtg. at school today-When will I be able to teach again?! I literally feel like my candle has burned out! On top of that I'm not really feeling my mojo-waaaah! I'll recover this week-end hopefully!!
I made this card for my friend's daughter, who is attending her friends' party this week-end. Her friends are identical twins girls. I know Lori has made one also using the same image, but now the girls will receive two Tilda cards-no fights this way.
I also made this to coincide with MDCU's 2nd anniversary theme challenge, which is two use things in two's. I'm also entering Creative Cottage's, Scrapbook Sister's challenge (Spring), Crazy Challenge (eyelets/brads) and Papertake Weekly (3 of something- I used 3 flowers). Hope u like! xox Trish

Hey all! I'm back from Toronto safe and sound! What a whirlwind experience-fantastic, but turbo speed all the way! And amongst my travels to and from I lost my zip drive (USB key) that stored these pictures that I was to send to my dear Boss Susie as well as other important school and personal documents that i had stored there!Arrgh!
So, this is just a reminder that this week's challenge over at DCD's Christmas Club is to incorporate a song in your creation! Mine is Amy Grant's song "Love Will Keep Us Warm This Year at Christmas!" It's not a really well known song unless you had her CD in the late 80's and early 90's. My Mom thought it would be good for her children to listen to "Christian Rock" instead of all the Metallica and other heavy metal I used to listen to! HAHAHA! SO there you go! Hope u like!
P.S. My candy ends march 10th and the winner will be announced on the 11th! Don't miss out! xox Trisha
Hey all- sorry no card today or until Saturday-I've been packing like a mad-woman for my son who left on a two day overnight field trip and also for myself-I'm leaving for Toronto early tomorrow morning, so washing and ironing are all I've been doing for the past few days-no card-making! Waaah! I'll be back on Monday afternoon! Can't wait to get there though!
So, on to better news: today is Roberta's aka Prairie Fairy's birthday and she's having a huge B-day sale over at her site. Go check it out-lots of fabulous images to chose from!! Happy B-day Bertie! Love ya! xoxo Trish :)
The image above is a piccie that I found on Google of my first doll Audrey, made by Fisher-Price in the 1970's. She was my inspiration for the card below!!
Hey gals! Why does she have a picture of a doll in this post? The explanation's coming!!
Hope everyone's well! I'm very excited that I was chosen last week to be a Guest Designer at Delightful Challenges Blog site! Many thanks to Wendy and her team of talented ladies!
I used this super-cute image of Briley, because not only did she remind me of a Fisher-Price doll I had as a child, but also because I lived in my overalls/dungarees-dresses were not my thing!! Total Tomboy-that was me!! It's funny, because I was just talking about my Audrey doll to my good friend Lori-well Lor-now you know what she looked like!! LOL! I'm so mad at my Mom for having got rid of her!! So I'm entering the following challenges: High-Hopes Stamps (Female Birthday) Bearly-Mine (Birthday), KB Cute Monday and Paper Playtime (Anything Goes-Use a Digi) and Critter Sketch (use a sentiment).
Ever since I can remember, I've been crafting. Card-making has been a passion of mine for over a decade. I am a full-time teacher and I live along the Winnipeg River in Manitoba, Canada with my two children.
