Speedy Recovery Mark!

Hey gang! I made this card yesterday for my colleague, Mark, who is also my educator's assistant. This past Friday, he was playing soccer outside with my students, fell in a rut/hole and he really sprained his ankle to the point where his tendons were severely stretched-not snapped, thankfully. I had to rush him to the ER and everything, as I was acting principal. Oh the drama, as I had to rush my nephew the day before for stitches! I may have missed my calling as a paramedic! LOL! He's off work for the next 3 weeks and I'm going to go insane without his help in my Math classes, as he works with my more needy students!
Before he started working as an E.A., he was a bush pilot. He still loves to fly, so I thought he might like this card. The image is Pilot Luka, from Lalaland Crafts. I colored him using Copics and Prisma pencils. My sister thinks it looks too babyish. I think he'll appreciate it though. If he doesn't- not my problem-it's the thought, right? Hey all this fortnightly's challenge over at Fairy Fun Fridays is to get your card inspiration from a Nursery Rhyme. I used this new and super cute image of Gilly, from Prairie Fairy called "Little Chicks" and my Nursey rhyme is Chook, Chook. Here's how it goes, as I didn't learn this one until I was in school:

Hi gang! Some exciting news! Thee's a new digital challenge blog created by good friend and fellow DT, Lynne Salmon. Cracker Christmas!

Hiya! This week's theme over at DCD Christmas Club is to incorporate Christmas Crackers in your creation! I used this James Bear image from Lily of the Valley. The sentiment ticket, like the similar one I used yesterday is from Whimsy's Digital Stamps. The pins were a b-day gift from my friend Lori. Thanks sweetie! I just love this collection of Bears! I got this cute Tilda image from my good friend Susie-she's just so cute! I wanted to use the Eerie papers from Basic Grey-but the shop where I stopped this week-end didn't have them! Grumble, grumble! So these DPs are a mixture of Little yellow bicycle, Karen Foster and my stash. And trying to find black lace was a nitemare-so I cut an old camisole that I haven't worn in ages!LOL!! Swiss Pixie Smile!

Bonjour everyone! So happy again, I made the top 3 at Pile it on's challenge with my Strawberry Lily card! So honored-truly! Well, a midday post is better than no post, right?
