Make Your Own DPs and Sketch

Hey all! Is it almost Friday yet? LOL-This week has seemed so long!! It was 1 C on Monday and it was -9C on Wed., but it felt much colder because of the wind!! It's a  little bit warmer today, but when will Spring be here???
To perk up my mood  I used this cute image of Tilda-so Spring-like with her rabbit in front of her!! I decided to enter Magnolia Down Under's Challenge and I made my own papers for this card-which was hard-because anyone who knows me, knows that I am the queen on Design Papers-love 'em, can't live without them.

So, I am going to show you what I did. For the background paper first paper, I used ink and sponged/rubbed  it on in a swirl motion and then stamped flowers on the paper. For the next paper-I stitched diagonally using different colors of thread and different stitching. It actually looks pretty cool.

I also followed Just Magnolia's Sketch and am entering this week's challenge if I'm not too late!!  I'm also entering the following challenges: Creative Inspirations (Easter), Creative Belli (Eggs/Bunnies),Stamping Royalty (Spring), For Fun Challenges (Use at least 3 of the colors:Blue, Pink Yellow, Green) and Freshly Brewed (Cute and Sweet)Hope u all like!xox Trish

Shabby Chic!

Good morning! So happy to figure out what was wrong with my blog posts-just tiresome to troubleshoot! So, I made this card last night as I was totally inspired by Magnolia Down Under's challenge this week: (Shabby Chic with Lots of White), Stamp with Fun, Creative Craft Friends, Stamps Are Us, Sparkles Forum (Spring), House of Gilli (Pearls and ribbon), Paper Playtime (Anything Goes) and Scrappy Frogs (Flowers and Lace). I had these papers with punch outs from K&Company that fit the shabby chic look and everything else just kind of fell into place. Hope u like! xox Trish :)

Christmas Flowers!

Hey all! Happy Saturday! I'm so relieved that Spring Break is here! So, after battling this sore throat and stuffed up nose, sore chest for two weeks I finally went to the doctor's on Friday afternoon and I have a bad sinusitis,and a touch of bronchitis.  I spent $150.00 on an inhaler and antibiotics-no drinking wine for me this week, or spending money on card-making supplies-wah!! But, I wouldn't have gone if it weren't for the bleeding nose I got just before leaving to go to work. I had to cough out junk (sorry-very gross) and then when I blew my nose, it just unleashed a flood of blood! I freaked out-haven't had a bleeding nose in 12 years, since my first pregnancy with my son!! I freaked mostly because I got blood on my new favorite green shirt!!LOL So, that's what made me make the Dr's appointment-otherwise I would have toughed it out some more!! Sorry, if I've grossed you out!!
On a brighter note,  DCD's Christmas Club's challenge is to incorporate christmas flowers in your creation! I used thes beautiful poinsettias from prima and my roses are from WOC.
I'm entering Just Magnolia's Bingo challenge. I chose: flowers, lace and ribbon, gems; WinterWonderland (Oh, Bauble) My  Basic Grey paper has a bauble on it and Delicious Doodles (Loads of Flowers), Fussy and Fancy (use feathers/zipper) and If the Shoe Fits (Recipe: flowers, distress inks, clear bling).Hope u like! xox Trisha

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Tilda!

Hi gang! Do you like my new blog lay-out? I absolutely love it-it fits me to a tee! Prairie Fairy made it for me, as she also does blog deisning too! So to celebrate, I made a Tilda creation- actually had time tonight! Very rare lately! I'm entering Magnolia Down Under's Challenge (3 R's). I recycled the corrugated cardboard from plate inserts/protectors I bought in the city the other day, the ribbon is from a gift box from the Body Shop, the leaves are from my wedding bouquet that I finally took apart this year, when I was moving, the buttons are all oldies that my grandma passed down to me and lastly that kraft paper oval is from the back of a Jolee's sticker package you get at Micahels! I think I did good with the 3 R's!! I'm also entering Paper Pretties (sewing),Magnolia Stamp Lovers (being sentimental), and Tuesday Throwdown (distressing). Hope u like! xox Trisha

Little Rudy Tilda!

Hey all! Woohoo! I have 350 followers and that means upcoming candy!! I just can't wait any longer to celebrate! Thanks so m uch everyone-I'm not worthy-truly-I just can't seem to comment on evryone's beautiful projects, but I try-honestly! I made this cutie to enter MDUC's challenge this week, which is to use cream, brown and red! the flowers and crystal stem are all Wild Orchid Crafts, except for the poinsettias. The DPs are from my stash. The little pearl dangly is an old earring I had in High-school!! LOL- Are u laughing Lori? She and I have a use for everything! Anyway, I have to go now-we have to get ready for my kids' Christmas carolling evening and open house! Should prove to be entertaining-I don't even know what songs we're singing yet around town-the class acts are excellent with huge bongos/tabanos! Happy 50th Anniversary!

Hey gang! Yes, I changed my blog look-I don't care for it very much-I would have liked something more wintery, but this will have to do for the time being, as it seems I have no time lately! LOL. I made this card for my grandmother's baby brother's upcoming 50th wedding anniversary this week-end in Hinton, Alberta. She only asked me last night!! So, this Tilda image is new and thank God already colored in the right shades, but the background is off my Cracker Christmas card! he he!! I added the 50th gold wreath, the gold roses and rings! Pheww! So, after school today, I've got to bring my Mom and my Mémère to the airport so they can attend this celebration, then I've got to attend a Math Inservice Friday morning, do a bit of Xmas shopping. Plus, I have to be at the arena for my son's hockey tourney Sat. and Sun., then back to the city on Monday for another Inservice, pick up my family at the airport in the evening. I feel exhausted already! Too lazy to look for challenges,okay, maybe just this one: Pixie Dust Studio (Wedding/Anniversary) Have a great week-end if I don't talk sooner! xox

Recycled Prima Tin!

Hey all! Just wanted to show off this recycled tin that I made hastily for my daughter's friend's party yesterday! I didn't have time to get a gift, so I made this little tin and put money inside it! Thanks Lori for the inspiration- but this tin pales in comparison, I couldn't add lace or extras because my glue gun hadn't any glue sticks!! I like the metal look somewhat! When it came time to shut the tin, the punched edge wouldn't let me close the tin! So, I bent the edges, and lace effect looked alright after all! I got this cute Tilda image from my good friend Susie-she's just so cute! I wanted to use the Eerie papers from Basic Grey-but the shop where I stopped this week-end didn't have them! Grumble, grumble! So these DPs are a mixture of Little yellow bicycle, Karen Foster and my stash. And trying to find black lace was a nitemare-so I cut an old camisole that I haven't worn in ages!LOL!!
