Shabby Chic!

Good morning! So happy to figure out what was wrong with my blog posts-just tiresome to troubleshoot! So, I made this card last night as I was totally inspired by Magnolia Down Under's challenge this week: (Shabby Chic with Lots of White), Stamp with FunCreative Craft FriendsStamps Are Us, Sparkles Forum (Spring), House of Gilli (Pearls and ribbon), Paper Playtime (Anything Goes) and Scrappy Frogs (Flowers and Lace). I had these papers with punch outs from K&Company that fit the shabby chic look and everything else just kind of fell into place. Hope u like! xox Trish :)

O is for Ovals

Hey all! This week's challenge at ABC Challenge blog is "O is for Ovals". We are so lucky to be sponsored by One Stop Cards this week. I used this super-cute Tilda image from the "You're so Special" Collection-she's my absolute favorite!! I followed Suzanne Dean's tutorial as best as I could to color african-american faces, but I don't have all the copics recommended so I improvised. I'm entering the following challenges: Just Magnolia (Love You), Magnolia Down Under (Distressing), Incy Wincy Designs (Use punches or dies), Let's Ink It Up (No Digi-Romance/Valentines) Magnolia Stamp Lovers (use pastels) and Scrappy Frogs (Love). Hope u like!! Have a great day! xox Trish :)

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Tilda!

Hi gang! Do you like my new blog lay-out? I absolutely love it-it fits me to a tee! Prairie Fairy made it for me, as she also does blog deisning too! So to celebrate, I made a Tilda creation- actually had time tonight! Very rare lately! I'm entering Magnolia Down Under's Challenge (3 R's). I recycled the corrugated cardboard from plate inserts/protectors I bought in the city the other day, the ribbon is from a gift box from the Body Shop, the leaves are from my wedding bouquet that I finally took apart this year, when I was moving, the buttons are all oldies that my grandma passed down to me and lastly that kraft paper oval is from the back of a Jolee's sticker package you get at Micahels! I think I did good with the 3 R's!! I'm also entering Paper Pretties (sewing),Magnolia Stamp Lovers (being sentimental), and Tuesday Throwdown (distressing). Hope u like! xox Trisha

For Kennedy!

Hey gang! Happy New Year! Can you believe it's 2011? Hopefully everybody celebrated amoung family and friends! I had fun with my kids over at some friends, skating on the river, playing hockey, eating marshmallows by the fire-it was great! The theme for this fortnightly Totally Tilda challenge is to use ribbons and roses in your creation! I was supposed to give this trinket box as a gift for my daughter for Christmas, but only finished it on the 28th of Dec.! She was ecstatic when she saw it- and I owe all the credit to my good friend and fellow DT member, Lori, who made a beautiful wall hanging for her daughter Bailey and won the Shabby Chic challenge over at MDUC! So, thanks Lori for the inspiration! I'm going to try my luck over at MDCU's challenge (a gift for you).

Arrgh matey! Pirate Edwin!

Hiya! I decided to use this cute fellow last night, seeing as my internet was down as well as our satellite for the TV because of the rainstorm. I needed a B-day card for my son's friend this week-end. So I used this cute Magnolia image of Pirate Edwin image that one of my friend's gave me. The sentiments are from Pink Cat Studio and worked well with this card. I tried to make seaweed with my Martha Stewart punch and added pearls, rubies and some gold to it. I only wish I had a cocktail sword to go between the ribbon-that would have made him cuter!! I'm entering Magnolia Down Under's challenge this week (One for the Boys) and. I hope you like. have a great day!:)

Gardening Tilda!

Hey all! I think I'm in love with all Tilda stamps now. (Well, most of them anyway!) I just couldn't wait to make this card yesterday! Question-Does anyone in Canada have their Bon Voyage Magnolia Magazine yet? I'm keeping an eye at Chapter's (Book Store) to see when or if they come in. That's where I got the Mid-Summer Night's Dream issue. The DPs are from Basic Grey and I thought they had a real gardeny-feel. I'm entering it in the Just Magnolia Challenge (garden theme), Magnolia Down Under (Embossing) and in The Pixie Cottage Challenge (Sketch#24). Have a great Day Evveryone!

Purple,Polka-dot Tilda!

Good morning all! Well, I had an early morning-I was up at 4:47a.m. exactly and I had been tossing and turning before that! Lori-you're rubbing off on me. So, I too made a card, but now this one. I did this one last night and I really like the colors-reminds me of the interior of my house-greens upstairs and mauvy downstairs-trust me my house does not look scary! Anyway, I'd better enter the Magnolia Down Under Challenge (Polka-dots), and Just Magnolia (lace border) and Stampavie (Dots)I used the doilie, but used their gathering technique for the ribbon-before it's too late. P.S. Can anyone help me-I lost the "About Me" gadget on my site and I can't find it in my lay-out. What can I do? Even PF is stumped-Thanks for your help yesterday!! Have a great Day! Trish
